Jenny is a painter, illustrator and writer. Her artist books and zines have been sold at Printed Matter’s Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco Art book Fairs with Vacancy Projects, The Rare and Art Book Annex at the Last Bookstore in Los Angeles, the 2017 LA Zine Fest, the 2018 LA Zine and Art Book Bazaar, and purchased by the Scripps College Artist Book collection.
Illustration clients include: Cartier, The Carlyle Hotel NYC, Strategy Muse, Cafe Stella, and Radio Picture Show. Jenny also does privately commissioned drawings and paintings. This year, one of her illustrations was selected by the Society of Illustrators at the Museum of Illustration in NYC for their annual juried show and publication.
Jenny’s tiny paintings of women doing everyday acts in private have been shown at Proxy Gallery in Culver City, Richard Heller Gallery in Santa Monica, and at several pop-up shows, including Plus One at the Museum of Broken Relationships in Los Angeles. She has made them into a book, which you can purchase here.
Jenny is also an educator at Los Angeles County Museum of Art, where she teaches narrative art and illustration classes, art and art integration workshops for teachers, and workshops through a schools outreach program at the museum.
Jenny grew up in Evanston, Illinois. She studied illustration at Parsons School of Design and earned her BA in Studio Art from Beloit College in Wisconsin. She earned her MS in Urban Education through the NYC Teaching Fellows in 2010. In 2017, she earned her MFA in Art from Claremont Graduate University. Jenny lives in Silverlake, Los Angeles. She is a part of the Women Who Draw.
